Banksy is a world-renowned mystery man, who keeps his identity carefully under wraps.
He’s a graffiti master, painter, activist, and filmmaker. He’s been very active in the graffiti scene since the early 1990s.
By the age of 18 he started developing stencil art to cut down on time after nearly being caught by the cops.
He also likes the political edge of stencils, as they’ve been used to start revolutions and start wars throughout history.
Banksy leaves his mark all over the world with his work. His known travels include Australia, England, the USA, Israel, Jamaica, and Canada.

Banksy made the Time magazine’s list of The World’s 100 Most Influential People in 2010 alongside Barack Obama and Steve Jobs. He supplied a picture of himself with a paper bag over his head.
He wrote and directed the documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop, which was nominated for an Academy Award.
Most of his work combines dark humor and street objects to spread messages across art, philosophy, and politics.
Although he is well-known for lots of other works and installments, this website will focus on his street work.
