Titian

Titian is Italian painter. there is no determined date of birth of Titian, means that it is uncertain. He claimed about his date of birth that he has been born in 1474. He mentioned his specific date of birth in a letter which was written to Phillip. But this date of birth is not certain but it is doubtful. Some writers claimed that who was in his contemporary era, his date of birth was associated in 1473 to 1482. There are many modern scholars who claim that he was born in 1488 to 1490.

There were many famous painters because of their work. But Titian secured the recognition by his colleagues as “the sun amidst small stars”. Although he was not experienced painter as the other painter yet he was equally skillful painter regarding every painting work such as landscape backgrounds, portraits, and some other religious subjects. His painting method was proof of his versatility because he applied the colors in the influence of contemporary Italian painter as well as the future generations of western painters

He was a successful painter from the beginning. He had become famous by the patrons from the Venice and its possessions. After that, he joined the north Italian princes. Not only this, he went to the Habsburgs and papacy. Venetian School was his main identification after his painting profession. So, the Venetian School was famous for the creation of Italian Renaissance painting

The earliest work of Titian is a fresco of Hercules which is associated with the Morosini palace. There are some other works of Titian such as Bellini-esque called Gypsy Madonna is in Vienna, Visitation Mary and Elizabeth is in Academia, Venice.

There is an early portrait of Titian called a man with a quilted sleeve. He painted it in 1509 and this work was defined by 1568. Giorgione was one of the famous legends of the Renaissance era and he joined him as an assistant. But there were many critics who predicted already that his work was so impressive. The critics gave the example of exterior frescoes which was designed for the Fondaco dei who was the German merchant. Their relationship was not ordinary but it was actually the great competition between both. Most of the scholars admitted that their work created a great period regarding work. Moreover, scholars said that if we analyzed their work. We can say that their work is a scholarly dispute. There were number attributes which Titians took from the Giorgione in the 20th century. Well known Titian work was the Christ carrying the cross and this work was regarded by the Giorgione.

The great talent was finished by the fever on 27 August in 1576. If we examine his uncertain date of birthdays then we can say that his age is round about 100 years. He is buried in Frari. His famous work was finished by the Palma il Giovane. There is another famous painting which is called the Madonna di Ca' Pesaro. There is no memorial on his grave. But after a long time, a ruler of Austria built a monument in the church on the name of the great painter.
